Catastrophic!
the slaughter of
sweetness on your
twentyfour karat tongue.

Take me to the place
where love was more than
hyperboles and
words that woo,
Where intimacy was
more than burning skin
and arching backs and
sweat on the sheets
and phonecalls in the
lonely hours of the morning.

It was
stripping our shells and
licking our wounds
and
swallowing
hard
the truths we could not change.

Wrap your lips around this:
Adieu.

A swift, fatal blow.

What would the world be like if we tried to be kind as hard as we tried to be beautiful?

Now that's a good read, by far. It had a perfect, swift flow to it. :)
